Let’s be honest, who wakes up in the morning looking like this…
How many women are able to maintain a stick thin waist, busty chest, and voluptuous legs without a strict diet, tireless exercise and even when it comes down to it, cosmetic surgery? Countless studies have shown that Barbie, a manufactured idealistic doll, has been determining for years what is beautiful and what is to be expected of women. As we get older, we tend to stop relying on toys and rely on the media (which has been adapted to fit the Barbie-doll look) to tell us how to look.
I’m asking that you ladies take an introspective look and really question what it is that YOU find beautiful. What do YOU find beautiful about yourself? What do YOU find beautiful about being a woman? It’s time that we band together as women and stop listening to what the media and beauty industry finds as beautiful and start telling.
